In an effort to assist with the teacher shortage, there has been a change with reinstatement requirements for teaching fields, only. An individual who has an expired Professional Educator Certificate OR a renewable Career and Technical Education Certificate may use this ONE TIME OPTION to reinstate with the following:
The attached application Form RTF,
$30 application fee,
A NEW criminal history background check (see form for applicable time frame), and
If Computer Science, Cosmetology, or Health Science the occupational proficiency requirement must be met.
Yes, employees can reinstate this one time without meeting any other requirements.
