
SUMMER FUN: Decatur City Schools is offering CAMP EXTENDED DAY for children who have completed Kindergarten – 5th grade!
Running from May 28 to August 1, 2025, the camp will be held at Julian Harris Elementary School-Decatur, Alabama Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Kids will enjoy a variety of exciting activities, including STEM challenges, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, science experiments, reading and drama, recreational gym activities, and special snacks. There will also be fun field trips to places like the Botanical Gardens, AMF Bowling, Insanity Skate Park, Stars and Strikes, Cooks Museum, and more.

Last week, WJES hosted its first Jr. House Leader Jacket Ceremony. Jr. House Leaders will assist House Leaders by helping to run House meetings, taking House pictures, tallying House points, and being House ambassadors. As you can tell from the video, it is a BIG honor! #ronclarkacademy

Today fourth grade read the book, “The Crayon Man” and learned how Crayola crayons were created. Students invented a new crayon box that could hold 24 crayons! They also did the crayon melting experiment and periodically checked on the progress throughout the day!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
