My name is Jan Naylor and I am the resource teacher at the Virtual Academy. I have 19 years of teaching experience in several capacities. I am a native of Decatur and graduated from Decatur High School. I earned a Bachelor’s of Education from Athens State University and a Master’s in Collaborative Education from the University of North Alabama.
I am a proud mom of my 28 year old son, Jackson, who resides in Pensacola, FL. He played baseball from the time he was 4 years old until he graduated from college. He was recruited and played on scholarship for the University of South Carolina as well as University of West Florida. I am also the proud mom to my 3 year old goldendoodle named “Ruthie”!!!
I love my family, friends and fur babies. I work with a great group of teachers and feel very blessed. Gardening, baking, and painting are a few of my hobbies. I also love all DIY projects!
