Decatur City Schools is proud to announce and welcome Mr. Reagan Carpenter as the new principal of Austin Junior High School!

Mr. Carpenter is a familiar face within our community, transitioning to AJHS from his previous role as an assistant principal at Austin High School. His deep understanding of our students, families, and the Black Bear culture makes him the perfect leader to guide our junior high students as they prepare for high school.

Mr. Carpenter is dedicated to fostering a supportive, safe, and high-achieving academic environment where every student can thrive. He looks forward to collaborating closely with our wonderful teachers, staff, and families to continue the tradition of excellence at Austin Junior High.
