Congressman Dale W. Strong will be hosting Military Service & Academy Day on August 17th for area students who are interested in learning more about attending one of the United States military service academies after high school.
This year’s Military Service & Academy Day will take place on Saturday, August 17th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Huntsville High School Gymnasium. The event will include service academy representatives from West
Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, and the Marion Military Institute; recruiters with the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force/Space Force, and the Coast Guard; and representatives from various ROTC Programs from across the state.
To attend a service academy, students must meet certain eligibility requirements and receive a congressional nomination. More information on the nomination process will be provided at the event. Students interested in being nominated are encouraged to attend Congressman Strong’s Military Service & Academy Day.
