DCS welcomes some 75 new teachers to the school system ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
Employees were greeted with excitement during Tuesday's new teacher academy at Leon Sheffield Elementary School. Those in attendance heard from Superintendent Dr. Michael Douglas, Deputy Superintendent Dwight Satterfield, Deputy Superintendent of Instruction Yvette Evans and several other school leaders.
The new teacher academy is an opportunity for new employees to learn about expectations in terms of instruction and managerial aspects as they enter into their new education roles.
