Request for Records
Decatur City Schools' Special Services department maintains special education records of all currently enrolled and former students for 5 years after the student graduates or leaves our system. Special Education Records for graduates or formerly enrolled students of Decatur City Schools may be requested from Special Services. The special education records for graduates or formerly enrolled students are not at the schools.
Students, parents or legal guardians of students under the age of 18, may request special education records by completing and submitting the "Requests for Records" form provided below.

If you seek general education documents such as a transcript, immunizations records, attendance records, birth certificate, grade reports, or the disciplinary history, please contact the last school attended in our district.
General education documents for students in Grades 9-12 are housed with the registrar of the last high school of attendance in our district.
