Payment Methods

There are several methods of payment for school meals:

Pay online using PayPams-
The service is available for all DCS families, easy to use, convenient, private, and secure. It is important to use your child’s correct identification number when setting up your account.   

  • Make a one-time payments or set up automatic recurring payments when the balance reaches a designated amount.
  • Have email notifications sent when your child's balance reaches a certain level. 
  • Monitor your child's purchases in the cafeteria. 
  • The only time you will be charged a nominal fee of $1.95 is if you make a payment, the remaining services are free.

 

You must allow up to 48 hours for online payments to be credited to your child’s meal account at the school site.  Due to this it is recommended to set up recurring payments or email notifications to be set to no less than $10.00.

 

Go to http://www.paypams.com and check it out.  You can use debit/credit cards with this program!

 

Personal Check
Make checks payable to your child’s school's Cafeteria, include child’s name and pin number in memo section of check to ensure it is credited to correct account. In addition, a telephone number and driver's license number MUST be noted on the check. Returned checks are processed by NexCheck.

Elementary schools:  student will give the check to homeroom teacher.  Secondary schools:  student will give the check to the cashier.

 

Cash
Elementary schools:  student will give the cash to homeroom teacher to be turned given to elementary cashier to process. It is recommended that cash be put in an envelope marked with your student’s name, pin # and amount.  Secondary schools:  student will give the cash to the cashier.

 

DCS cafeterias use an automated software system that provides accountability of each student’s account. Parents are encouraged to prepay their child’s meals for the week, month or year. 

If you do not wish your child to purchase a la carte items with money on their account, please email Julia.senn@dcs.edu and notify her of child’s name, school, and pin number and a message can be posted to child’s account that will not allow student to spend money on their account to purchase a la carte.

Money left in your child’s account at the end of each school year will automatically move with your child within our school system.
