Nice to Meet You, Tamara Caudle!

Mrs. Caudle is our new Decatur City Schools Principal at Walter Jackson Elementary School. You may already know some impressive facts from her resume, but I bet you didn’t know that she would really love a pair of sassy white boots! I asked Mrs. Caudle some random questions just for fun, and the answers might just make you smile.

Resume highlights:

  • Teacher on Special Assignment at Blossomwood Elementary for the last year
  • District Secondary Curriculum Specialist (English and Social Studies) for 1 year
  • Fourth grade teacher for 11 years

What is your favorite book of all time?

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, because I have a weakness for candy.

Favorite M&M color:

Green, not because it tastes better or anything, but because I’m a huge fan and collector of the green M&M girl. I mean, just look at her shoes! I’m a firm believer that your shoes dictate your walk, and, man, with those sassy white boots I think I could do anything.

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be?

I would be an elephant. When I think of elephants, I think big, strong, and tall enough to see what’s going around them. Like that, I want to be up high and see everything in my world.

If you could relive one grade in school, which one would you choose?

I would go back to 7th grade just to be back with my math teacher. I don’t remember many teachers at all, but I do remember that my math teacher was amazing. She always knew I would be a teacher one day, and meeting her made me love math when I never thought I would.

Personal message from Mrs. Caudle:

”I’ve themed this year, ‘Walter Jackson, where your journey awaits.’ This year is going to be an awesome journey. I’m beginning new, and in a way, we’re all beginning new together.”
