Welcome to Leon Sheffield Magnet Elementary!  Every day is a new adventure in learning at LSME.  Each day as I walk the halls, I learn from the activities of teachers, students, staff, and volunteers.  Everyone is seeking success as they investigate the world around them through the many programs available in our school.

Congratulations to the staff and students on our recent IB/PYP Authorization.  We are sending  weekly  newsletters that tell you more about the IB/PYP program (for more information click here: IBO.org).   We have been awarded the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award.  We are excited about accepting this honor in October in Virginia.

 Thank you to our partner in education (United Launch Alliance), CB&S Bank, PTA, parents, and friends for their dedication to our school. Your efforts amaze me daily.  You constantly go beyond the call of duty to ensure the students and staff have everything they need to be successful. Thank you for you time, energy, efforts, and dedication!
