The purpose of Woodmeade's library media program is to enrich the school community by supplying and providing direct instruction and access to materials, in a variety of genres and formats, which both supports and enhances learning in the classroom and serves in meeting the needs of individual students by encouraging them to develop a life-long interest in reading and information literacy by: providing support for and working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school faculty to help our students become fully successful, and by staying knowledgeable of developments in the library media field through continued professional development, regular communication with peer media specialists, and through reading professional journals.
