In our classroom we learn about Language and Spelling through our Writing. We have daily lessons about the many writing techniques that we can use. We read picture books that show the many forms of writer's craft and we constantly find examples in the books we are reading! Every single day while reading to us Mrs. Davis will say, "Wow, did you hear that?"

We practice our Writing in two different places. We keep a Writer's Notebook in which we write frequently. Here we keep our thoughts, reactions, and examples of writing. Mrs. Davis says that our WNB is like a pond of good ideas. We can go fishing whenever we need an idea about which to write. Of course, a well stocked pond is the most useful kind! We also have a Writing Tablet in which we practice actual stories or paragraphs.
