Meet Mrs. Thornton!

I am so glad to be teaching Spanish at Leon Sheffield. Spanish is my native language because I was born in Cuba. It is exciting for me to share my love of Spanish with the children. They are at the age where learning a foreign language is exciting and fun. We will be covering many topics throughout this school year so please ask your child to share what he/she has been learning. My teaching background is varied since I have taught for 31 years. During those years I have taught third grade and gifted education in grades 1-5. I bring my love of children and experience to this new and exciting career opportunity.
