Benjamin Davis and Leon Sheffield have a joint PTA that welcomes you to our schools and school communities. Our PTA has a goal every year of 100% membership, and we have achieved this for 27 straight years. Our primary goals are to raise money to meet the immediate needs of our teachers and students, to provide volunteer support for the classroom, school events, and projects. The PTA also serves as an important communication link between the parents and the school. There are many opportunities for you to become involved in your schools while using your unique talents, skills, and interests. There are many existing opportunities for you to become involved as a PTA volunteer, and your new ideas are always welcome. Below are some existing committees and opportunities for you to volunteer your time and efforts:
Beatutification, Ben Davis Kick-Off, Box Tops, Coin Drop, Corporate Liaison, Cultural Arts, Game Day Weekend, Field Day, Gift Wrap, Grandparents' Day, Homeroom Parents, Hospitality, Library, Mile Run, Popcorn, Public Relations, Original Artworks, Reflections, Soup Labels, T-Shirts, Thumbody, Volunteer Coordinator, Yearbook Manager, Yearbook Producter.
We also need many volunteers throughout the year to help with programs and classrooms. We are proud of our PTA and parent participation!
