BOOK REPORTS Dear Parents- This last nine weeks we will not continue AR reading for a grade. However, they do still have required reading and book reports due every three weeks. Each student is to choose 3 chapter books on their individual reading level, read the books and write a letter to me for each book following the given format. I have put some stipulations on the books. The books need to be novels and not comic type chapter books such as Bones, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, etc. I want the students to open themselves up to different genres that they normally may not read. If they have any questions about their book they may come and ask for approval. The book reports are due on the following days: March 30 April 20 May 18 Below is the following format for the book report.
Date Greeting (Dear Mrs. Crim,) Body: paragraph 1: a summary of the book Body: paragraph 2: favorite part of the book and why Body: paragraph 3: would you recommend this book to others? Why or why not?) Closing (Sincerely,) Signature
